| "Princess Cruises and Tours is constantly looking for means to increase our commitment to buy from Alaska business and the Global Food Collaborative was a great venue to meet with Alaskan producers. Our product needs range from seafood for our restaurants to souvenir items for ourlodge gift shops and were able to see a great cross section of products at the show. We look forward to all the new connections we will make in 2009.” -Bruce Bustamante, V.P., Community and Public Affairs, Princess Tours |

This event was one of the better shows I’ve attended. In our line of business as a distributor and packaging supplier the accounts we look for were exhibiting at the show! So there was no 2nd guessing on what they do and what their product is. You will find us at the next show and that’s for sure!- William Quantick, Division Manager, West Coast Paper |

I spend most of my time moving from gatekeeper to gatekeeper trying get a few minutes with the decision-maker in an account. Sometimes, it takes months to get to the right person. It was wonderful to be in a room full of the exact people that I am trying to get to!I was able to accomplish more in 2 days than I can typically get done in weeks! It was definitely money and time well-spent at Global Food Alaska 2007.I will certainly be back in 2009! --Todd Becraft, Area Manager, Pacific Dry Ice |

This event was very important for Alaska producers to not only show their products to other vendors but to also look at ways to sell their products to businesses that do business in Alaska by hearing what their requirements are for buying Alaska made goods. I think it also provided information that others did not now about like the Mat Su area work on potatoes for french fries and rhubarb beverages. Pat Norman, Port Graham Village Council |

Having the opportunity to meet with others in the food industry is a great asset for Food Bank of Alaska, because we all do basically the same thing--we move food to people who need it. GFC introduced us to companies from all around Alaska and a result, Food Bank of Alaska made connections with two new partners to provide food to thousands in need in our state. Reggie Buchanan, Operations Director, Food Bank of Alaska |
