Donna Maltz is the President of Green Food Service Consulting, a company dedicated to supporting green sourcing and operations for food service. Donna and her husband Kevin own the Fresh Sourdough Express Bakery & Cafe in Homer, Alaska where they have applied their green practices for over 25 years and shared their expertise with those seeking to emulate their sustainable business and sourcing practices. This year the successful Bakery & Café was recognized as the First Certified Green Restaurant in the State of Alaska by the Green Restaurant Association. Donna has 30 years of professional experience in the food industry starting as an organic farmer in the late seventies, researching, networking and applying green practices in restaurant, catering and food service. Donna is well known and respected on a national level for commercializing the First Organic Cocoa and Chocolate Syrup in the Nation under the AH!LASKA Brand name.
Green Food Service Consulting is owned and operated by Kevin and Donna. They offers hands on experience with local or carbon friendly sourcing, operations - including energy utilization, waste management, eco-friendly preparation, distribution and other service that effect your operation from the soil to the table and the floor to the ceiling. They look at business from the triple bottom line measuring the success of a business operation by its economic, environmental and social participation.
