Welcome Back Kearin

It is with great pleasure, that I introduce you to Kearin Schulte, my new (and only) partner of Global Food Collaborative, LLC. The partnership became final on January 1st, 2010 and she has already been active (behind the scenes) in the business. I know most of you are anxious to meet her, if you have not already. She will be participating with me next week at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim and the International Boston Seafood Show the following week.

Her title may explain that we're taking connecting the supply chain to a higher level.
Kearin Schulte, Connections Manager
Please read on and introduce yourself to Kearin. I know you will find her genuinely interested in your respective businesses and helpful to your growth and success. - Robin
Kearin Schulte, Connections Manager
She may have just made it official, but Kearin worked with me in 2003 as I searched for models of supply chain collaboration around the world. She helped establish GFC prior to its official launch in July of 2004 and has remained engaged over the past 6 years. Kearin was a fellow student in graduate school where we had nearly two years of constant and healthy research and discussion on the global supply chain of food, Alaska's unique industries, the latest of food technologies (especiallly RFID and tracking systems). The supply chain was rapidly changing and we wanted to be more helpful in connecting commercial buyers, suppliers and their supply chain partners to meet these challenges.
Robin's title will continue to be Member Manager and she retains her role and involvement at GFC. Neither Kearin or Robin are owners or investors in any food, beverage or agri-products company. We are also not owners of any companies that commercial buy products or supply services to the supply chain. Our sole business expertise and focus is creating a confidential environment where professional buyers and suppliers can collaborate, directly to do business. No brokers, no commissions, no website services, no "on the side consulting", no "special offers". Everything we have and provide is geared toward supporting sustainable business for our members.
About Kearin
Kearin was a graduate of the Masters of Science in Global Supply Chain Management program in 2004-05 where she met Robin and they started what has become Global Food Collaborative, LLC. Kearin’s ability to quickly analyze business processes and better utilize technology was well matched with the need for greater efficiencies along the supply chain of food, beverage and agri-products. As part of Robin and Kearin’s collaborative work laying the foundation for GFC, they studied supply chain case studies for knowledge management systems related to food. During that time, Kearin led an effort to interview people along the supply chain to better understand the market demands and cost-benefits.
Kearin has a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies and Business Administration from the University of San Diego and 20 years of professional work experience. Her career has consistently bridged technology and people, such as training and knowledge management for US Department of Defense applications. Additionally, she has served at executive levels in communications, business development, process improvement and most recently healthcare electronic medical records implementation.
