In 2007, after completion of an environmental review, construction began on the remodel of Commodity Forwarder, Inc's current facility near the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.  The remodel involves complete renovation of the second floor to make way for new offices, and the demolition of current office areas to make way for improved chill/freeze infrastructure.  The coolers are anticipated to be 34 x 25 feet, featuring drive-in racking and doors wide enough to accommodate ULD's (or unit loading devices), the containers used by air cargo carriers, a feature unique to CFI.  The capacity in each cooler is approximately 85 pallets, which represents an overall capacity of 150,000 pounds.

The project began in 2004 when the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation
