While it is no small feat to work directly with independent and local suppliers, that is exactly what Target Corporation is doing while they ramp up stores in Alaska and Hawaii.   Kudo's to the Field Merchants who have been canvassing Alaska for unique and new food, beverage and bio products for their Wasilla and Anchorage stores.   Team members have taken the time to meet with independent suppliers and know them well by name.   This is commercial business at its best.
