Most notably are the ingredients. Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon, Water, Sea Salt, Organic Red Peppers, Organic Fennel and a Special Blend of Organic Spices. Not only does it capture the Omega 3's of Alaska's wild caught salmon, but the ingredients are all natural without preservatives, fillers, nitrates, gluten, dairy, MSG or wheat. This is a big deal for consumers who are seeking healthy alternatives or specialty foods for their unique diets.
During the show, Eagle Rock's gourmets offered product samples and answered questions of buyers and even recruited Jonathan and Larry (Crab Captains) to sample the fare. Serving suggestions on the product label include being served alone, with eggs, on Pizza, in Taco's, pot pies, chili, gumbo, lasagna or as a substitute for chicken or ground beef in your favorite recipe.
CI: Who is Eagle Rock?
James Gillespie: Eagle Rock's Alaska is a manufacturer and marketer of this and other products in conjunction with West, Inc. of Soldtona, Alaska.
CI: What makes you unique?
James Gillespie: Our focus is on making a healthy product that tastes good and if you were at the show, you know we have!
CI: How do you envision your company collaborating with others for new products, services or markets?
James Gillespie: Mostly our focus now is on establishing ourselves in the marketplace with decision makers. We would like to collaborate with the diet and health markets on packaged diet programs such as Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem. Also, school lunch programs are always looking for tasty and healthy alternatives to red meats and poultry without preservatives and other additives. We'd like to work with school nutritionists on introducing this product within and outside of Alaska. In fact nearly every food channel locally, nationally or internationally seeking healthy alternatives we believe can utilize this product, including restaurant and retail.
